ORANGEVALE, CA (MPG) - Attention all gardeners and aspiring gardeners. The Orangevale Farm & Garden Club has started a new gardening year. We meet September through June on the first Saturday of the month at 9 a.m., at the Orangevale Grange Hall located at 5807 Walnut Avenue in Orangevale.  Gardeners from all areas are invited to join us as members or guests for informative speakers, field trips, and sharing a love of gardening with each other and the community.

On Sept. 7, Orangevale Farm & Garden Club meeting attendees learned from Lacey Yuke, Manager of the Orangevale-Fair Oaks Food Bank Farm, how to transition our summer gardens to get ready for the fall and winter. She also discussed what to plant and gave an update on the latest news from the Farm. In addition, we did a seed starting activity for our upcoming Plant Sale Fundraiser. 

On Oct. 5, instead of a meeting, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. we will have our Fall Plant Sale Fundraiser at the Orangevale Grange - 5807 Walnut Avenue, Orangevale.  Come pick up starts for your fall vegetable garden, perennials, succulents, and boutique items all at great prices for a great cause!
